WHAT WE ARE LEARNING

Learning a bit about Ghana was fun! We learned it is located in West Africa and that the people love brightly colored textiles. Our Valentine’s celebration went very well. There were cookies, treats to take home, games and a heart collage to make. Thank you to those who helped out. In class time we learned about building or making things. This included buildings, friendships, bracelets, cakes and lemonade.

This week is “I Can Create”. We will talk about creating shapes, counting strategies, music, and solutions to our problems. The writing skills this week are Capital N, our names, and reviewing drawing a cross, circle, square, and triangle.

Winter Clothing

Just a reminder that children still need to have coat, hat and mittens if the feels like temperature is less than 50. Also, when it snows again they will need their boots and snow pants. Thank you for making sure that they have what they need.

Valentine’s Day Party

Party day was fun! Thank you to those who helped out. Thank you for all the treats and fun Valentine’s.

Boston School Forest

On April 16 4K will be going to the Boston School Forest. Students will go during their class period. We will leave as soon as we start class and return just before class time ends. If you are interested in volunteering we would love to have you. You would have to fill out a volunteer form for Canaland ahead of time. Please let me know if you want to attend.
