WHAT WE ARE LEARNING

Having a healthy lifestyle starts with health choices and those often include healthy routines. This week we talked about bedtime routines, visiting the doctor, brushing our teeth, sleeping well and getting good exercise. There was also discussions about what is exercise and that we need to be sure to get some every day. The children discovered that the capital I and T are written almost the same. We also had a great deal of fun acting out “Five Little Monkeys”. They loved being the different characters.

This coming week the topics of discussion will cover problem solving and making thoughtful choices. Encouraging children to do these and pointing out how this can be done will be a part of our discussions this week. It will be a fun and exciting week.

Also, we are looking for volunteers that day (9:45-11:30 and 1:30-3:15). If you are available, please let me know.

Back to School

January 2 is our first day back. Our calendar lines up with the public-school calendar.

Winter Apparel

Most days students will need their coat, hat, gloves, snow pants and boots. Please be sure that they have what they need with them. I don’t know if you noticed, but many of them are getting very quick at getting all of their snow things on.
