December 11-15, 2023

WHAT WE ARE LEARNING

Making healthy food choices was a lot of fun! The grocery store was a hit. We have some fun snowmen that we painted put up in our room. In music and movement, we have been working on some Christmas songs. Outside time has been going very well. Most everyone is able to dress themselves with the exception of some zippers, so we can get out quickly. Thank you for sending the needed equipment.

Healthy choices this week will focus on habits and routines as well as exercising. There will be discussions about bedtime routines, visiting doctors and dentists, and fun exercise activities. We are excited to keep preparing for the Christmas season.

Christmas Production

Congratulations! It was a success! Thank you to all who participated.

Christmas Party

On December 21 4K will have a Christmas party. There will be games and fun and a gift exchange. Please, if you can, send a small gift ($5 or less) for a gift exchange. Please send a gift for a child the same sex as your child and mark it for a boy or girl.

Also, we are looking for volunteers that day (9:45-11:30 and 1:30-3:15). If you are available, please let me know.

Christmas Store

If you wish your child to participate in the Christmas store, be sure to hand in the gifts needed list so that we are sure to have something for each important member of your family.

If you wish to donate some items drop them off at Canaland’s desk.

Back to School

January 2 is our first day back. Our calendar lines up with the public-school calendar.

Coats, Hats and Mittens

Thank you for sending the proper cold weather apparel. When it snows or if there is snow on the ground, even a little, the children do need to bring snow pants and snow boots as well as a winter coat, hats and mittens.
