WHAT WE ARE LEARNING

Travel is so much fun. We enjoyed sharing travel stories, some real and some make believe. The children love to share where they have been and where they would like to go. The stories this week focused on the kinds of transportation used to make a variety of trips. In one story Gram took seven different kinds of transportation to reach her destination, and then was offered two different types as a choice for the first activity on her visit. Your student finished the second trimester screening process and still worked on writing V and W. They did fabulous.

This coming week we will be studying transportation. Again, there will be several good books emphasizing transportation. We will continue to have some fun songs about transportation and some different stations and toys to build on our knowledge and fun.

March 15 Canaland Movie Night Peanuts (Dinner at 5, Movie at 5:30) Movie is free. Pizza and snacks small charge.

March 18-22 Spring Break – No School

March 25 Twin Dress Day

March 29 No School – Canaland is closed (Good Friday)

May 23 4K Graduation! 4:30-5:30 (Please set the date aside and invite the people important to your child.)

Transportation Station

On March 11 4K will have an outreach event for the whole family. It is open house style. Please come and see what we are learning about transportation. There will be several stations to do activities with your child(ren). We hope to see you there.

Spring Conferences

I will be seeing most of you very soon.

Boston School Forest

On April 16 4K will be going to the Boston School Forest. Students will go during their class period. We will leave as soon as we start class and return just before class time ends. If you are interested in volunteering we would love to have you. You would have to fill out a volunteer form for Canaland ahead of time. Please let me know if you want to attend.

4K Graduation

This will be a fun event. Your children will give you a taste of what we work on and learn throughout the year. Please feel free to invite grandparents and other important people to your child. See you there!
