4K Parent & Student News

Weeks of: February 25-28, 2019

Mrs. Missy Kessel – Lead Teacher, Miss Meghan Trierweiler – Assistant Teacher

WHAT WE ARE LEARNING

We are having great fun in our doctor’s office, and reading books that Dr. Seuss wrote. (Did you know the correct pronunciation of his name is “Zoice”, like voice with a “z” sound.) This week we will learn to write 8, N, and review how to draw the shapes. During social/emotional time we will be learning how to invite someone to play with us.

PETE THE CAT, GILBERT THE SHARK, AND BISCUIT

Pete spent the weekend at school.

Gilbert the Great was with Natalie. They had a great time looking at all of the Valentine’s. Later they celebrated Morgan’s (Natalie’s big sister) birthday by eating cake. Friday was a “stay with Mom day”. They watched movies and played games. Running errands with Grandma topped off Saturday and the eating at McDonald’s. Later they did puzzles. Sunday was a day of board games, Legos and movies.

Biscuit is staying with a friend who had a few extra days off. We will hear from them next week.

REMINDERS:

School Choice

The school district has already sent you something indicating where your child will attend kindergarten in the fall. If you are making a different choice please let them know as soon as you can so that they can have accurate records.

Also, just a reminder if you have any important information changes (address, phone number, etc.) Please let them know so that your child’s file is up to date.

Children’s Museum

Thank you to all of the volunteers that were able to attend our first fieldtrip! It was a lot of fun and the children really enjoyed it.

Conferences

Don’t forget to come. I am looking forward to seeing you.

Clothes

Please remember to update extra clothes in lockers and backpacks. Double check for current season and size.

Be sure to send outdoor clothing if the temperature with the wind chill will be above 20 degrees. We do like to get out when we can.

Activity Calendars

Keep working on February calendars! Do as many as you can and return it by March 7.
