WHAT WE ARE LEARNING
This week 4K will be learning about sports and what to do in the case of an emergency. We will be looking at what to do for a lock out and a lock down. This will help all of us be prepared and as safe as possible. In handwriting we will be learning S and J. During social/emotional time we will practice naming our feeling and how that can help us start to have self-control. Don’t forget to send our outside clothing.
PETE THE CAT, GILBERT THE SHARK, AND BISCUIT
Pete the Cat got to spend Christmas at school. What a nice long break!
Gilbert the Great spent the week with Quinn. They had fun dressing up for Christmas and going to Nee Nee and Papa’s Christmas Eve. Christmas day was spent at home with the family. The opened gifts and played Sorry. It was funny when Dad tried to beat Mom. On a different day there was a play date with Jake at the Holiday Inn pool! There was lots of fun.
Biscuit had such a fun week with Asher! They went to church and read their Bible together. Christmas was spent at Grandma and Grandpa’s. Asher ate rainbow pancakes and got Christmas pajamas. One day they went shopping with Daddy, and there was story time with Mommy and little brother Owen. The last day they had fun playing in the snow.

Starting January 2 our class had a different order for our schedule. We are still doing all the same things, but in a different order. I believe it will give a better flow to the day and allow for greater flexibility for the activities. If you have questions or concerns please contact me.
I did attach the new schedule to an email specifically about the change. I also sent a copy home on the 2nd.
4K Family Night
It is a fun night at the Children’s Museum with other 4K families. The district will pick up the costs for 4K students, but all family members are welcome to come and enjoy the activities. Join us from 4-7 pm.
Please remember to update extra clothes in lockers and backpacks. Double check for current season and size.
Be sure to send outdoor clothing if the temperature with the wind shield will be above 20 degrees. We do like to get out when we can.
Please do not forget to keep track of the activity calendars. Your children are welcome to bring back the December calendar by January 10. They do enjoy picking from the prize container. Just mark which activities you did and put their name at the top.
