WHAT WE ARE LEARNING
It has been fun learning about the food groups. We have looked at the Food Pyramid and My Plate. Ask your child. Many of them know the groups and some items that belong in them. We will continue to reinforce making good eating choices. This week Handwriting without Tears will include drawing Mat Man, writing 1 and coloring black and gray. For the social/emotional lessons we will start a new unit dealing with empathy. This week we will Identify Feelings and introduce the Zones of Regulation.
Don’t forget to join us Monday night for Handwriting without Tears Night and learn how we teach that program.
PETE THE CAT, GILBERT THE SHARK, AND BISCUIT
Pete the Cat had a quiet Friday with Greyson. They went to the library, and had pizza and movie night. Saturday started with soccer, and then to the Pumpkin Patch. There were lots of things to do including a hay ride. At church on Sunday Pete stayed with Mom and Dad, and then some quiet time at home.
Gilbert the Shark went to swimming lessons with Jacob. They also had fish sticks for lunch. Friday they both went to Canaland and the Dad’s for the weekend. That evening they played with Jake’s brother Liam. Saturday they went to soccer even though it was cold. The rest of the day was at their friend Maverick’s house in Wausau. While there they went to a corn maze and pumpkin patch where there was a tractor/wagon ride. Sunday was church and a low key day.
Biscuit had a fantastic weekend with Cameron. Quinn was there for a sleepover! There was a lot of play time and a delicious dinner. Later there was a shooting contest with the nerf guns. Lastly there was a movie and popcorn for the boys. In the morning Cameron’s parents made a big breakfast. Later Cameron’s family went to the Children’s Museum and had a blast. After that they went to Grazie’s had supper and played with dough balls. What a big weekend!

Have you heard your child talk about Mat Man or sing “Where Do You Start Your Letters?”, and wondered what they were? There is an opportunity for you and your family to come and check out Handwriting without Tears. It is the program that we use to teach writing skills in 4K. We hope to equip you better to help your child learn to write all their letters. Monday, October 22 from 4:30-6:00 in the 4K classroom.
Please send your child with coat, hat and mittens. When it snows snow pants and snow boots as well. Also, please be sure that extra clothes are seasonally appropriate. Thank you.
