4K Parent & Student News

Weeks of: September 3-7, 2018

Mrs. Missy Kessel – Lead Teacher, Miss Meghan Trierweiler – Assistant Teacher

Welcome to 4K! We are so excited for this year. Your children are so precious and we are ready to serve them and you in any way we can. Please let us know what we can do.

This week we will be learning about our classroom, our rules and about our friends. For handwriting we will introduce the four lines used to make all of the capital letters and review the ABC’s. During SMART we will learn the helicopter, flamingo, and balance beam. There will be some practice cutting, gluing, tracing shapes, making patterns, play with magnets and kinetic sand. .

These are the stuffed friends that will be going home with students each weekend. They will take turns. You are asked to take them with you when it is possible and appropriate. Then write a journal entry telling us some of the exciting things that you have done that weekend. You may include stickers, pictures, photos, etc. We just love to share our weekends with each other and this is an easy and fun way to do this.

Outreach Calendar

Parents, you will receive an activity calendar in your child’s folder on Monday. There will be one each month. Please do as many activities as you would enjoy. They are designed to help your child to learn and grow.

Mark on each one that you do and at the end of the month please send it back to class in your child’s folder. They will receive a prize for returning their calendar, but they need your help to work on the activities. I think you will have fun with them.

Please call if your child is not going to be at school. I do take attendance and turn that into the district.  If you do have a question you can call (715)341-8747, or e-mail me at mkessel@pointschools.net.

Please be sure that your child has a change of clothing either in their locker or their backpack. Unfortunately spills and mistakes do happen.
